When we consider buying a router cnc machine, we need compare between different configurations. Undoubtedly, the CNC controller is one of the most important items for the machine. A suitable controller will provide you with a lot of convenience in the use of the cnc machine. In cnc router field, there are generally three types of controllers: remote type, motion card type and industrial computer type. Let us explain their characteristics and differences here. 

1. Remote type

This type has Richauto DSP and Weihong NK105 DSP controller. Advantage of this type controller is that operator control the router machine directly via them. We can make design and generate G code file in our office. Then we copy the file into U-flash and input the U-flash into the DSP controller interface. Now the machine can be run with the G code. You can see, the remote type controller works alone, no need via a computer. They are the most popular controller for regular cnc router machines like cnc router 1325 and router cnc 2030. But please take care if your job is mass carving jobs like European style furniture, remote type controller is not the best choice for you. Cause it will take a little more time when they read big files. 

2. Motion Card type

This type has NC studio and Mach3 cnc controller. Oppositely with remote type, motion card type controller will take a computer to run the machine. This type controller is prior to remote type on capacity of big files reading. Furthermore, we can see the toolpath trace during the machine working. So if your jobs are mass caving, this type is the recommended one for you. They are proper controllers for multi head cnc router and wood cutting cnc machine. 

3. Industrial Computer type

SYNTEC is this type. SYNTEC controller is one industrial computer itself. So we can do some design in there directly; if you are used to making design in computer, no problem you make design there, and then copy the file into CF card. The SYNTEC can read the file from CF card after the card was inserted into its interface. And, combination of SYNTEC and servo motor will give you a close loop system for your machine. That’s why servo motor always is equipped with SYNTEC controller. SYNTEC is widely used on high configuration machines like auto tool changing machine and nesting cnc machine.
