Rabbeting bit is one type of downcut spiral router bit. The combination of single flute bit design and downwards slicing action leaves a very clean and crisp edge around the groove it cuts. So it is ideal for cutting rabbets. Single flute rabbeting bit is good for materials like MDF, Plywood, Soft wood, PVC and so on.
Using Tips of single flute downcut bit
1. Feeding speed should be slightly slower.
2. Good to use it for shallow groove cutting. Deep cut may cause router bit over head or break.
3. Please use a dust collector when cutting with downcut spiral router bit. This is simply because that, a build up of debris may cause router bit break.
